MAIN GOAL

Get knowledge about nanotechnology, nanomaterials and their use in the design and production of food packaging and in particular:

  • Knowing and understanding what is nanotechnology and its timeline.
  • Knowing and understanding the concept of nanomaterials and possible European and international variations in its definition.
  • Characteristics of nanomaterials in food applications: classification.
  • Identify the current status of applications of nanomaterials in food (food, feed, food contact materials, packaging).
  • Knowing the normative applicable to these materials, both at European and international level.

USERS PROFILE

Professionals and future professionals on plastic and food sector interested in laying the groundwork and/or expand their knowledge about nanotechnology and its use in the production of food packaging.

DURATION AND CONTENT

The course will take approximately 1 hour 15 minutes.
